Troy native. NUHS graduate. ART-certified chiropractor dedicated to finding — and fixing — the source of your pain.
Dr. Ryan Yanez grew up in Troy, Michigan — the same community he now serves. After attending L’Anse Creuse High School, he pursued a Bachelor of Science at Central Michigan University, where he worked as a research assistant in the Brain Research and Integrative Neuroscience Lab, studying stem cell therapies for Huntington’s Disease. That foundation in neuroscience would prove invaluable in his clinical career.
Dr. Yanez went on to graduate from the National University of Health Sciences, an institution renowned for its evidence-based approach — one that blends classic chiropractic technique with modern medical knowledge and clinical research. He previously practiced in Sterling Heights before joining Semlow Chiropractic Troy, where he focuses on delivering meaningful, measurable results for each patient.
Dr. Yanez’s path to chiropractic wasn’t academic — it was personal. As a football player, he experienced significant low back pain that medications and massage therapy couldn’t resolve. Chiropractic care did what nothing else could.
That firsthand understanding of patient frustration — trying treatment after treatment without lasting relief — shapes the way Dr. Yanez approaches every case. He takes time to understand your full history, performs a thorough evaluation, and builds a treatment plan around your specific condition, not a template.
With advanced training in soft tissue technique and spinal decompression, Dr. Yanez takes on the cases that other offices refer out.
Acute and chronic lumbar pain, including disc-related causes, muscle strain, and joint dysfunction.
Conservative management with ART and DRX-9000 decompression — avoiding surgery when possible.
Nerve compression causing pain, tingling, or numbness radiating from the low back into the leg.
Cervicogenic headaches and tension-type headaches driven by spinal misalignment and muscle tension.
Sprains, strains, overuse injuries, and performance-limiting conditions treated with ART and rehabilitation.
Whiplash, cervical strain, and soft tissue injuries from motor vehicle accidents — documentation included.
New patients are always welcome. Schedule a consultation and experience the difference a thorough evaluation makes.
